These projects aim to enhance the inclusion of smallholder farmers in fair trading relationships, improve food productivity, and promote economic empowerment for women and youth in the regions of Singida and Dodoma.
The Programme Officer will work closely with farmers, local partners, and stakeholders, providing technical agronomic support, coordinating field activities, and facilitating market linkages. Key responsibilities include identifying constraints and opportunities within the sunflower and sorghum value chains, strengthening entrepreneurial skills among farmer organizations, and collaborating with private companies to promote sustainable sourcing.
Key Roles:
- Assist in identifying regional constraints and opportunities in the sunflower and sorghum value chains.
- Drive market linkages and build relationships with stakeholders to stimulate the supply of inputs and services.
- Support the development of business linkages between farmer organizations and private companies.

These projects focus on enhancing food productivity, reducing post-harvest losses, and increasing economic empowerment for youth and women in the regions of Singida and Dodoma.
The professionals will work closely with farmers, local partners, and stakeholders, providing technical assistance, coordinating field activities, and facilitating market linkages. Their responsibilities also include contributing to capacity-building initiatives, organizing farmer field days, and supporting data collection for project monitoring and evaluation.
Key Roles:
- Engage with sunflower and sorghum farmers, providing training on Good Agronomical Practices (GAP), post-harvest handling, and market access.
- Coordinate youth participation in agribusiness and gender inclusion activities.
- Build relationships with local government authorities and other partners to facilitate project adoption.
